These terms apply to Excerpta, together with our general terms of use. By using the app, you agree to both.
The service
Excerpta is a vocabulary-learning app: you capture passages, the app surfaces words worth learning, and you review them. We may improve or change features over time.
Subscriptions & billing
Excerpta Pro is an auto-renewing subscription sold through Apple’s App Store. The price is shown in the app before you buy and is charged to your Apple ID. It renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. You can manage or cancel anytime in your App Store account settings. Payments and refunds are handled by Apple under its own terms.
Free tier & fair use
The free tier includes a limited number of AI analyses. Reviewing and practicing words you’ve already saved is always free. Please don’t automate, script, or otherwise abuse the service.
Your content
The passages you add are yours. You grant us only the limited permission needed to process them so we can provide the service to you (for example, sending text to our AI provider to generate cards). AI-generated definitions and examples can be imperfect — use your own judgement.
